GEORGIAN DREAM

Georgian Dream is an impressionistic portrait of Georgia, photographed over three months in the summer of 2019, as the country negotiated its contested history and uncertain political future. Soviet legacies, Russian occupation and a growing orientation towards Europe and NATO intersect with national identity, tradition and everyday life. The title refers both to Georgia's ruling Georgian Dream party and to a country caught between political realities and the dream of what it might become.
